ISIS-Bangladesh is a network of ISIS supporters based in Bangladesh. ISIS officially acknowledged the network in 2015. The network includes among its members some veteran Bangladeshi terrorists intent on overthrowing the Bangladeshi Government to establish a fundamentalist Islamic state. ISIS-Bangladesh has killed dozens, including a US citizen, and wounded more than 200 since its formation in 2015.

TACTICS AND TARGETS
ISIS-Bangladesh conducts attacks against police, religious minorities, government officials and buildings, and foreign aid workers, using small arms, IEDs, suicide bombers, and edged weapons.

FOREIGN TERRORIST GROUP DESIGNATION
The US State Department designated ISIS-Bangladesh as a foreign terrorist organization in February 2018.
