This position is a detail opportunity with Department of Defense Chief Information Officer (DoD CIO), serving as a cybersecurity supply chain risk management (SCRM) analyst at the Federal Acquisition Security Council (FASC). While the incumbent will be representing and working DoD CIO requirements and will be rated by DoD CIO staff, the duty station will be the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) FASC, in Washington D.C.

Strong performers will need to blend and leverage their backgrounds and experience in critical mission areas to promote and defend cyber supply chains and support FASC initiatives. These areas include: Threat Analysis, Tech Protection, Cybersecurity/Information Assurance/Information Security, Acquisition Policy, Risk Management, Logistics Management, Legislative Engagement, Communications, and Program and Project Management.

Successful candidates must be energetic, creative, enjoy complex technology policy questions, familiar with the federal budgeting process, and great team players.

It is expected that candidates will leverage their understanding of the intelligence community (IC) to collaborate on best practices, projects, and implementations.

** About the FASC: The FASC is the central, government-wide authority for Information and Communications Technology and Services (ICTS) supply chain risk management (SCRM) activities. The FASC assesses the security risk posed by particular products and contractors, facilitates supply chain information sharing, and develops policy and recommendations to address the U.S. Government's ICTS supply chain risks.

- Minimum of 2 years experience in two (2) or more of the following: Acquisition Policy, Supply Chain Risk Management, Cybersecurity, Threat Analysis, Risk Management, Legislative engagement.

- Ability to direct, plan, and analyze programs including the development of strategic plans.

- Skill in written and oral communications with emphasis on preparing correspondence for senior leaders.

Desirable Qualification: Knowledge and experience with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) SP 800-161, NIST knowledge and awareness of SCRM tools and capabilities.

Highly qualified GG/GS-14s will be considered for this position.
- The JDA will learn how to work collegiately with multiple stakeholders within OMB and agency partners. The JDA will learn about interagency coordination across the following disciplines: policy, regulation, legislation, acquisition, technology, compliance, standards, governance, budget and portfolio management and risk management.

- Learn Cyber SCRM at the strategic level.

- Obtain superior interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills, including demonstrated ability to work effectively, both independently and in a team or collaborative environment.

- Gain ability to develop collaborative solutions for issues of common concern with partner organizations while managing sensitive matters and complex problems.

- Learn to make key contributions to group efforts and exercise appropriate leadership and initiative.

DoD CIO is responsible for reimbursing the JDA parent organization.
