Mission Statement:

The National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC) leads the nation's effort to protect the United States from terrorism by integrating, analyzing and sharing information to drive whole-of-government action and achieve our national CT objectives.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Direct taskings and creatively lead the development of high-quality, sophisticated targeting analysis, projects, and briefings tailored to the needs of operational customers and senior policymakers at the highest levels of government.

Manage and oversee staff in the development and implementation of strategies to identify gaps in highly complex analytical information and assess source information for accuracy, validity, relevance, and timeliness.

Develop the substantive analytic and management skills of subordinate employees and supervisors, and contribute to the broader corporate mission of the organization.

Problem-solve and think strategically; effectively express complex, multi-discipline ideas and insights verbally and in writing to a variety of audiences up to and including senior leadership.

Lead, initiate, cultivate, and maintain cooperative and productive relationships with individuals in the US Government (USG), Intelligence Community (IC), and ODNI that inform and contribute to high-quality and complex analyses of interest to the USG and serve as a subject matter expert on regional and/or functional areas or issues for the ODNI.

Mandatory Requirements:

Proven ability to remain flexible in light of new information and requirements; ability to support and defend group decisions and assessments, accept and incorporate feedback, provide opinions, solicit opinions from coworkers, and collaborate on a variety of assignments.

Expert ability to use link analysis and call-chain tools, and demonstrated ability to lead and promote the development and use of a broad range of methodological tools and approaches to research, analyze, and present data (modeling, SATs, social network analysis, etc.).

Expert analytic and critical thinking skills, including superior to think strategically; superior ability to effectively express complex, multi-discipline ideas and insights verbally and in writing to a variety of audiences up to and including senior leadership.

4-year degree or equivalent military experience in an applicable focus area

Applicants from federal agencies within the Intelligence Community (IC) may be considered for this position as a reimbursable detailee, if endorsed by the employing agency. Applicants must have current TS/SCI clearances with polygraph or have the ability to obtain one. The ODNI does not conduct polygraphs or provide security clearances for detailees. Applicants from within the IC must submit an application through the classified IC Joint Duty Program website.
