The incumbent will work in the Anomalous Health Incidents (AHI), Cross Functional Team (CFT) Office. The incumbent reports to the Counterintelligence and Identity Intelligence (CI2) Director, through the CI/CT Division Chief. The incumbent serves to provide CI support to the AHI CFT by working with the U.S. Intelligence Community (USIC) to coordinate, synchronize, and deconflict those CI activities that are focused on identifying the source, cause, and mechanism of reported AHI. Functions as a subject matter expert for CI matters to include policy and investigations in support of AHI CFT, and coordination of those CI support activities. Engages with Department of Defense (DoD) and national CI entities on CI activities, to include investigations, collection, and analysis and production of CI information associated with reported AHI, to facilitate thorough, proactive, and prioritized support to the AHI CFT.
Coordinates on all aspects of strategy, analysis, and collaboration for professionals at the DoD and national levels with an end state to create and coordinate on-going CI requirements from the AHI CFT. Regularly reviews, updates and maintains a community of interest (COI) by identifying personnel, organizations and programs which reside within the DoD and USIC focused on AHI. Performs regular liaison with DoD and Federal law enforcement agencies to establish and enhance positive and effective interagency partnerships.
Specific responsibilities include:
Maintains a proficient knowledge and understanding of, and regularly engages DoD and national-level peers on the CI discipline, particularly how the discipline interfaces within the national security business model areas of law enforcement, identity intelligence (I2), open source intelligence (OSINT), human intelligence (HUMINT), signals intelligence (SIGINT), measures and signatures intelligence (MASINT), and geo-spational intelligence (GEOINT).
Incumbent prioritizes and staffs issues, develops and articulates organizational and DoD positions, and develops/staffs/executes Defense-wide positions based on consultation with the Defense components and appropriate national agencies, and establishes goals and guidelines.
Provides written and oral reports and briefings to AHI CFT, OUSD(P), OUSD(I&S), and other senior DoD and national leadership as required.

Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
This is a drug testing-designated position. The incumbent will be placed in a drug testing pool and will be subject to random drug testing.
This position may require occasional temporary duty (TDY) travel both CONUS and OCONUS.
Must possess current TS/SCI eligibility.
Expand knowledge of the threat of AHI and gain greater experience and opportunity to garner CI subject matter expertise in identifying the source, cause, and mechanism of reported AHI.
Improve communication skills with senior Defense civilian and military officials and interagency leaders.
Develop deeper liaison and network building skills to increase collaboration between DoD, USIC, and CI and law enforcement peers.
Deepen skills in intelligence information sharing that supports open CI investigations and active CI collection and operations, as well as decisions by senior officials on sensitive activities related to mitigating AHIs.
