Intelligence Specialist (CI Case Officer)

1. Incumbent serves as a Counterintelligence (CI) Case Officer for RIV, Army CI Command.

2. Responsible for the acquisition and control of sensitive CI Assets in accordance with CI methodology and regulatory guidance. Responsible for all activities associated with spotting, assessing, recruiting, training, dispatch, recovery, and termination of U.S. Army personnel engaged in sensitive CI Activities. Prepares and submits all required operational reports in accordance with regulatory guidance.

3. Assists Region Special Agent in Charge and other key leaders and stakeholders in strategic planning efforts.

4. Coordinates operational activities with the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), and other members of the intelligence and law enforcement communities as required.

1. Graduate of a Credentialed CI Special Agent Course.

2. Graduate of Joint CI Training Activity (JCITA) Advanced Foreign CI Operations and CI Surveillance Course or legacy Advanced Foreign CI Training Course.

3. Certified to perform OFCO activities by home agency.

This position requires that the selectee have a final TOP SECRET clearance and approval for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), in accordance with ICD 704 – Personnel Security. In addition, the selectee will have a completed, favorably adjudicated counterintelligence scope polygraph (CIPG) examination, conducted by a recognized U.S. Government polygraph entity within seven (7) years of this assignment.
